Russell Hancock is President & CEO of Joint Venture Silicon Valley, a group that brings together mayors and CEOs to tackle regional issues. He also teaches in the Public Policy Program at Stanford University. Considered one of Silicon Valley’s foremost expositors, his interviews appear regularly in The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Forbes, and he is often seen on Good Morning America. He is also the host of “Inside Silicon Valley,” a weekly program airing on KLIV. He is perpetually ranked by Silicon Valley Business Journal as one of Silicon Valley’s most influential “players”.
Educated at Harvard, Dr. Hancock holds a Ph.D. from Stanford. He leads a parallel life as a concert pianist, appearing as soloist with symphony orchestras across the nation, and holds a faculty position at Notre Dame de Namur University as artist-in-residence. A devout Mormon, he serves in presidency of the Menlo Park Stake. He and his wife Marguerite are parents of three children.
