Bill Elliott is the Media Director for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he works developing inspirational media content, documentaries, and short film series. He also teaches digital content creation as an adjunct professor at Ensign College.
Previously, Elliott was Senior Director at NBC UNIVERSAL, where he spent 23 years working in production across all platforms for the Entertainment Division and Marketing and Promotion. He directed the “Everyday Heroes” segments for the series School Pride and produced the NBC network specials Making The Last Templar, The NBC Primetime Preview, and The 10th Kingdom: Making of an Epic. He worked on many hit series, including Cheers, Friends, Frasier, ER, The West Wing, Law & Order, The Office, and 30 Rock. He supervised joint ventures with Hallmark Entertainment on mini-series such as Gulliver’s Travels, Merlin, Alice in Wonderland, and A Christmas Carol.
He directed shoots on location in the U.K., Morocco, Slovakia, New Zealand, Austria, Hungary, and Australia. Before joining NBC, Elliott spent several years producing and directing documentaries for charities such as The American Cancer Society, United Way, Providence Speech & Hearing, Children’s Hospital, Cerebral Palsy Center, and the Blind Children’s Learning Center. He is a graduate of BYU with a B.A. in Communications, Film, and Television Production.
